One of the most visible signs of aging or weight gain is often the double chin that appears as the lower face begins to accumulate submental fat. While there are surgical procedures that correct this cosmetic concern, at Beverly Hills MedSpa, we offer Kybella™ – a non-surgical alternative that creates natural results without the risk or recovery time of surgery.

What are Kybella™ Injections?

Fat deposits in the lower face that cause a double chin appearance can be difficult to get rid of by natural means. This area is typically reduced with invasive procedures such as liposuction and neck lifts but with Kybella™, surgery is no longer necessary.

Derived from deoxycholic acid, Kybella™ is injected by Dr. Kahen into treated areas with a fine needle, where it destroys fat cells. Deoxycholic acid is found naturally in the body, and its use in reducing fat in the chin area has been clinically tested and is FDA-approved.

A series of several small injections are administered into the fatty part of the chin, with the entire session lasting only a few minutes with minimal discomfort.
